    - T.H. Thompson & John Watson
  • “I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it.
The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear.’

The Belles 7th Birthday Celebration

April 6th marked the 7th Birthday of the Amabele Belles Paddling Team. We celebrated with a brunch after our Saturday paddling session, and it was good to have some social time together.

Joining us were Martin Poole, our former coach, as well as Pam Newby, the founder of the Belles.

The Jenny Michie trophy was awarded to Lenora Hammond, for most improved and committed paddler, and the award for the most spirited and enthusiastic paddler went to Merlin Osborne, our Captain.
